Are you ready for a journey into the realm of alternative fashion? Dangerfield, the iconic youth brand with over 30 years of experience, has a killer opportunity for you! We need a Designer to join our team and rock our MASC category to new heights.


As a Designer at Dangerfield, you'll be at the forefront of fashion evolution. Your creativity will know no bounds as you shape the upcoming season's trends. From developing key shapes, colour palettes and prints, you'll be the driving force behind our collections.


Your Responsibilities will be:

  • Trend analysis, developing key shapes, colour palette and print direction for the coming season
  • Preparing Tech packs
  • Fitting garments, measuring and approving fit and shipment samples
  • Preparing samples, CADs, colours, prints and mood/theme boards for meetings and presentations
  • Attending e-comm and campaign photoshoots
  • Liaising with local and international suppliers
  • Approving lab-dips, embroideries, knit-downs, strike-offs and trims
  • Creating style descriptions for the online team
  • Development of textile prints and artwork specs when required
  • Build market and competitor awareness
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Highly proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Undergraduate, tertiary or equivalent degree in Fashion Design.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and production methods to ensure high quality and correct fit is
  • achieved
  • A good commercial acumen and a keen eye for fashion and upcoming trends and the ability to translate this
  • into unique designs.
  • A high level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast based environment with tight deadlines
  • A hands-on approach and enjoy the challenges of the apparel industry
  • Passion for alternative fashion and lifestyle encompassed by Dangerfield
  • Professional Design experience preferred.
